Records in the wrong order in a query result due to sort method not chosen.
Cause:
By default, a sort method is not specified in the Query Design view.
Solution:
In the Query Design view, select the desired sort method in the 'Sort' drop-down list.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Queries' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired query in the list box. (The selected query is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The query appears in Design view.)
5) Click in the 'Sort' cell of the desired field. (A down arrow appears.)
6) Click down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
7) Do one of the following to select a sort method:
a) Select 'Ascending' from the 'Sort' drop-down list to sort the records in ascending order.
b) Select 'Descending' from the 'Sort' drop-down list to sort the records in descending order.
8) Repeat steps 5) through 7) for each additional field to be sorted.
9) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save' to save changes to the query.
10) Select the 'Query' menu and select 'Run' to view the results of the query.
